Misalignment

The Hidden Costs of Misalignment

Misalignment rarely announces itself. It shows up as effort that produces less than it should — a message that needs explaining, an offer that needs defending, a customer journey that needs apologizing for. Each one is survivable on its own. Together they quietly set the ceiling on growth.

Leadership

What Great Leaders Look For But Don't Always See

Capable leaders are excellent at reading their business from the inside. The difficulty is that the inside view is complete and consistent — it explains itself. The signals that matter most are usually the ones that have been normalized: the exception everyone works around, the question customers keep asking, the decision that keeps getting deferred.

03

Strategy

Strategy Isn't the Plan. It's the Pattern.

A plan lists what will be done. Strategy explains why those things belong together. When the pattern underneath is unclear, the plan becomes a list of reasonable activities that pull in slightly different directions — and the business gets busier without getting clearer.

More to come

New field notes are published as the work produces them. If a question of your own prompted the visit, it is worth asking directly.
